Telehealth
During the pandemic the Australian Government introduced Telehealth to meet Australians healthcare needs, reduce the spread of COVID-19 and keep us safe.
Telehealth consultations can be either:
telephone, using your mobile phone or landline
video call using your computer or smart phone with internet access.
Telehealth is not JUST a telephone call or video call. It does not replace the need for those essential appointments where it is necessary to have a physical examination. Health care will only be provided if clinically appropriate and safe. At your Telehealth consult your GP may decide that you need to a face to face consultation.
