Skin cancer medicine
Skin checks for life under the WA sun.
Living in the South West is wonderful — and tough on skin. Our GPs offer thorough skin checks, dermoscopy and on-site minor skin surgery.
Australia has the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. Most skin cancers are highly treatable when caught early, which is why a regular full-body skin check matters — particularly if you have fair skin, a history of sunburn, a family history of melanoma, or have noticed a changing spot.
What we can help with
- Full-body skin examination
- Dermoscopic assessment of moles
- Lesion mapping for high-risk patients
- Skin biopsy
- Cryotherapy for sunspots
- Excision of suspicious lesions
- Minor skin surgery
- Sun protection advice
Skin checks
A thorough examination from head to toe, using dermoscopy to assess any spots of concern.
Early detection
Most skin cancers — including melanoma — are highly treatable when caught early.
Minor surgery
Biopsies and excisions performed on-site in our procedure room under local anaesthetic.
Ongoing surveillance
If you are higher risk, we will work with you on a sensible schedule of follow-up checks.
