ADHD assessment & diagnosis
ADHD care with Dr Stephanie Choularton.
Dr Stephanie Choularton has completed a nationally-recognised ADHD training program through the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). She is qualified to assess, diagnose and prescribe for ADHD in patients aged 10 and over.
ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) affects focus, organisation, impulse control and energy regulation. A careful, considered assessment is the first step towards understanding how it shows up for you — and what support will genuinely help.
At Sunshine Medical Centre, ADHD assessment is offered by Dr Stephanie Choularton. Assessments follow current RACGP-endorsed pathways and involve time, listening and structured screening — not a rushed diagnosis.
How does this work?
1. Book your assessment
Phone Sunshine Medical and request an ADHD assessment with Dr Stephanie. We will email you health assessment and screening forms to complete before your first appointment.
2. Initial appointment (60 min)
Attend in person for a thorough conversation about your life, health and symptoms. Further testing may be required after this appointment — including blood and urine tests, and sometimes an ECG.
3. Second appointment (30–45 min)
We review your test results together and discuss diagnosis and treatment options.
4. Follow-up & ongoing monitoring
Further appointments assess your response to treatment. Once stable, monitoring may be 3-monthly, 6-monthly, yearly or 3-yearly depending on your age and response. You may choose to do this with your usual GP.
