Men's Health Week — small check-ins, big difference
Men's Health Week (15–21 June) is a good prompt to book that check-up you've been putting off. Here is what a 'man MOT' looks like at Sunshine Medical.

Men in Australia are statistically less likely to see a doctor — and more likely to die early of preventable conditions. Men's Health Week (15–21 June 2026) is a good time to change that.
What a check-up looks like A men's health appointment with one of our GPs is a relaxed, confidential conversation. Depending on your age and history we might cover:
- Blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes risk
- Prostate concerns and PSA testing where appropriate
- Sexual health and STI screening
- Mood, sleep, alcohol and stress
- Skin checks
- Family history and what it means for you
Book a long appointment We recommend booking a long appointment so there is time to do this properly without rushing. Bring a list of any medications and the questions that have been on your mind.
